In addition to the broad S-shaped line which is a special feature of the Sinking Pencil, the flat body of the SINKING SHAD creates a wobbling action with irregular rolling that has a high appeal. With the broad sides of the body, this lure is sensitive to waves, currents and small changes in water flow. It swims by responding to changes in the movement of the water just like a baitfish. Needless to say, it works effectively for game in bay areas where the currents are significant and river mouths, but especially for fish attracted by baitfish with a high body such as Japanese shad, slipmouth, surf fish and horse mackerel.
